I need to take a page out of your book. My kids are staying up way too late these days. It's okay for the Big 3 because they will sleep in if they stay up late. But the little guy still wakes up at the same time every day regardless of when he goes night night. So there is no benefit; in fact, it's a problem because when he stays up too late, he's cranky the next day.

I think I'm going to start having my own Happy Hour every day. It might not always involve drugs and/or alcohol, but it will involve some sort of relaxing activity that symbolizes the beginning of the end of our day.

Though my morning routine is organized caos...and we have a crazy train travelling road show at night (extra curricular activities)...the one thing I have always been able to count on is the smooth and quiet end to our day. Bed routine is the pride of my day. Though I can't take all the credit for it's success...it is the one routine I am consistantly consistant with.(pee, p.j's, bed, book read, hugs and kisses...sometimes we repeat the hugs and kisses...music on and light out...and don't let the bed bugs bite) And I sigh with relief as I work my way to the glass of red on the counter and my partner waiting for "our time" on the couch. It makes the rat race bareable.
